With just a week to go until the second season of The X Factor wraps, Epic Records chairman and CEO, LA Reid has chosen to focus on his day job rather than being a judge on TV show and It’s likely Simon will not only need to hire a replacement for LA, but also one for Britney Spears, who only signed a one-season deal. 

Simon reportedly wants to offer R&B singer Chris Brown and Rihanna a position on The X Factor USA following the announcement that LA Reid will be stepping down from his position on the next series of the show.

“Simon is a huge admirer of Rihanna and knows she’s star quality,” a source told the publication. “As well as bringing an aura to the panel thanks to her current standing in music, she is also feisty and will make great TV.

So, will Britney return to The X-Factor next session? 

In case you missed The Live Show this week, The X Factor USA is nearing its second season ending. The Top 4 acts, Emblem3, Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens, sang two songs each, one chosen by the act and the other chosen by their mentor.

Stick around for another upset as the Top 4 become the Top 3. Plus, Bridgit Mendler and Bruno Mars perform live!

The judges’ choice is no more! Tonight’s results are based on America’s votes, alone! The Top 4 open the show with “I’m Coming Home” by Diddy-Dirty Money featuring Skylar Grey.

It’s the live semi-finals and the top four acts came out belting their best!

Still in the running are teen Carly Rose Sonenclar of Team Britney Spears, country singerTate Stevens of Team L. A. Reid and Team Simon Cowell’s last two group acts, Fifth Harmony and Emblem3.

Last night the final four contestants each perform two songs. For a semi-final show it seemed a little lack-luster.
