“Scream & Shout” is officially certified 3x platinum by RIAA this week.

The single has sold 3 million copies in the US and placed at #37 on Billboard Hot 100 this week.

“The original demo was sang by Tulisa. Things happened to where I was like, let’s get Britney on it. So Britney sung it regular and we came and listened to it again and she was like, ‘I kind of like it with the English accent. Want me to do that? I love doing that, I like playing characters. That was her idea actually.” - wii.i.am, in a recent interview.

After three weeks of voting and hundreds of thousands of responses, “Scream And Shout” wins  the second annual Hot 100 March Madness this year! It’s Britney’s second victory after our-home-girl claimed the 2012 crown with “Hold It Against Me!

“From April 1, 2012 through the charts dated March 9, 2013, there have been exactly 32 songs that appeared in the Top 5 of the Hot 100 chart. The head-to-head match-ups within this year’s bracket were decided arbitrarily, and after four rounds of voting throughout the month of March, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and “Scream & Shout” emerged from their respective sides of the bracket.”

“Scream & Shout” defeated One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” Maroon 5′s “One More Night,” Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake,” P!nk’s “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” in final round  with 84% of votes.

After four rounds of Billboard.com’s Hot 100 March Madness, the fans have helped will.i.am and Britney’s ‘Scream & Shout’ conquer the bracket and reach the Finals!

Britney beat out One Direction in Round 1, Maroon 5 in round 2, Katy Perry in round 3 and killed P!nk in Round 4 with 70% of the votes in Billboard’s March Madness competition this year. Team S&S is up against Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)’ in FINAL.

“Scream & Shout” resurfaces back to the number one spot worldwide on iTunes this week!!

“Scream & Shout” out of the Top 10 Billboard’s Digital Songs this week, coming in at #11 selling 104,000 (2,523,000 total)

The track also slipped from #7 to #8 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
