The pop diva returns to the ranks of music’s elite earners with millions from endorsements and a fragrance line with Elizabeth Arden. Her latest album, Femme Fatale, earned platinum certification in the U.S.

Forbes Magazine has listed tracks female celebrity earnings between May 2011 to May 2012 and Britney Spears listed at #2 with $58 Million only behind Oprah Winfrey!
Britney Spears was a distant second to Winfrey, with a relatively meager $58 million. That doesn’t include the $15 million payday Spears landed to join “The X Factor,” because the deal was signed after May 2012.
The majority of the names on Forbes’ top 10 are either pop stars who make money from tours and endorsement deals or the leading ladies of daytime TV who command top dollar in syndication.

Britney blasts back to the top this year with over 75 shows in the past 12 months with her Femme Fatale Tour. She also earns millions from endorsements and a fragrance line with Elizabeth Arden, earned a whopping $58 million in the last year.
Taking the top spot is Jennifer Lopez, and rounding out the top 10 are Oprah, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg.
Forbes bases the list on factors such as a celebrity’s income and media visibility, including social media presence.
Britney made Forbes‘ Top-Earning Women In Music list, coming in at number 10 at $10 million.

Thought it’d be higher! However the numbers come from May 2010 through May 2011 – wait til next year when the tour figures are added in! From Forbes:
