Britney is not returning as a judge on next season’s The X Factor, claims UsMagazine.com.

“Britney will get the boot,” said an insider. “Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn’t working.”

Britney received $15 million, but failed to boost the ratings as anticipated. “They paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps.”

Said another source: “He wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney.”

Simon said in October Britney as a judge was “a lot better than everybody thought…She’s very engaged…She has been, I think, a very, very good judge.”
