THE OVER 25s CATEGORY

Seperti yang sudah kamu ketahui, LA Reid akan dibantu oleh Justin Bieber dan manajernya, Scooter Braun dikategori ini.

First up is Jason Brock, and the voice that surprised us in his first tryout is back, lush and strong. Lewat ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ milik Fergie, Jason juga memukau para juri dan siap merebut kontrak 5 juta dollar kapan saja. Take a look:

Next is David Correy, and his voice is much better than expected, he soars through his song’s rising lines and has a particularly expressive tenor. “I saw pure passion” ungkap Scooter Braun, manajer dari Justin Bieber yang memberikan hampir semua ‘nasihat’ berharga disegmen ini. “Talent isn’t a question. Vino Alan performs after getting into his abusive childhood and explaining how “The X Factor” would help give his son the upbringing he was never able to have for himself. Membawana ‘Sober’ milik si nyentrik P!nk, Vino mampu menghinpnotis para mentor kedalam emosi lagu tersebut.

Last but not least from this category is Tara Simon. Membawakan ‘Reason’ dari Hoobastank, Tara belum bisa membuat juri terkesan. Warna Pop Alternative yang kuat dilagu ini terasa sangat pop dan kurang ‘greget’ ditangan Tara. “She’s got a big voice, but she should make sure to have those more sweet moments with her voice,” ujar Justin Bieber. Take a look..

THE TEENS CATEGORY

It’s Britney turn!! Britney yang telah merintis karir sejak kanak-kanak dipercaya untuk ‘membidani’ The Teens Category. Britney Spears announces Will.i.am is her celebrity assistant, because “he has such a fresh sound and he knows what kids are listening to.” Well, good luck Team Britney!

First up is, Miss Diamond White. Diamond bisa dikatakan cukup berani keluar dari zona amannya, tak hanya menguasai lagu-lagu klasik milik Whitney Houston dan sejenisnya, Diamond mebawakan ”m With You’ milik Avril Lavigne dengan baik..

Next is Reed Deming, the Bieber lookalike. His version of “Hey There Delilah,” by the Plain White Tees is solid and mistake-free. Meskipun Britney berpikir Reed bisa lebih baik dari penampilannya ini, Reed jelas tak mengecewakan Britney dan will.i.iam..

Afterward, rapper James Tanner performs, and his superior stage presence is clear. Namun keunikan James tak selalu bisa dijadikan andalan penampilannya. ”I thought he was very entertaining. I’m just not convinced it was strong enough,” ujar Britney.
